Paris Hilton’s New Hairstyle Is a Big Old Flashback to the ’90s

Paris Hilton can easily be spotted a mile away by her signature golden blonde hair. She usually styles it in a below-the-chin bob or pops in some extensions, but she’s now taking “sliving” to a whole new level by adding some nostalgia to her mane.

The socialite debuted her ‘90s-inspired high ponytail via Instagram on Wednesday, September 29. Her hairstylist, Eduardo Ponce, really worked his magic on this updo. The ends of her hair are graced with some soft waves, and it looks as if some hair (or, more likely, some extensions) was used to create the wrap that’s holding the ponytail in place.

Ponce didn’t give the whole product rundown for this look in his Instagram post, but he did tag all the hair-care brands involved in the process, which included Unite Haircare, Color Wow, GHD, and Luxy Hair Extensions. Hilton’s fans — aka the Little Hiltons — showed up for her as usual in the comments, leaving nothing but sentiments of love for the new pony.

Of course, no ’90s glam is complete without some ’90s-inspired makeup. Makeup artist Steven Tabimba brought back the neutral, matte pigments of the decade to both Paris’s eyes and cheeks. A poppin’ lipgloss is a must for all ’90s beats, and Tabimba didn’t forget. The clear gloss appears as if it was also accompanied by a terra cotta-esque lip color.

Ariana Grande is universally known for wearing the high pony pretty much at all times, but we love to see another celebrity taking a turn-of-the-century approach to the hairstyle. Other celebrities throughout September (see Khloé Kardashian and Megan Thee Stallion) went for a high pony as well, except theirs were serving inches. Perhaps Paris took some inspiration from them, but she definitely made this pony her own.
